In New York yesterday just outside of Saks Fifth Avenue sat an older black man, in a wheel chair both legs amputated asking for help, I dropped a 10-dollar bill in his cup.

Today, I got word that one of my oldest dearest friends was diagnosed with "curable" prostate cancer. I could tell it really through him for a loop. Two young beautiful children, happily married and a good business. His final sentence in his email was, " Live each day to it fullest, you never know what tomorrow might bring."

On the way out of a shopping center a man and young lady were standing with a sign that said, "Homeless...anything would help." I gave them a few dollars and wished them well.
